Supplier & Vendor Statement Generator — running balance, difference check, no upload
Turn a Xero, QuickBooks or any accounting export into a ready-to-send supplier statement in about a minute — and diff it against the statement your supplier sent. Files are parsed entirely inside your browser — no upload, no API connection, no subscription.
What is a supplier statement?
A supplier statement is a chronological account statement you send to a supplier. It lists every bill, credit note and payment with a running balance, so both sides can confirm what is outstanding without digging through individual invoices. Accountants prepare them during month-end close, supplier statement reconciliation and audit prep.
Most accounting software — including Xero and QuickBooks — does not have a one-click "supplier statement" report, which is why bookkeepers end up stitching one together in a spreadsheet, 15–30 minutes per supplier. Statemint turns that into a one-minute job: drop the export, confirm the columns, print.
Two jobs, one local engine
One parsing engine, two outputs. Drop both files in and get the difference report first — then a statement to send back.
Primary job
Difference report
The statement your supplier sent vs. your own books — matched line by line by reference (normalized), then by unique amount and date. What's left over is listed three ways: on their statement only, in your books only, or amounts that don't match.
StatementZen charges $99–899/month for this job, in the cloud. Statemint does it locally, once, for $29.
Secondary job
Statement with running balance
From the same parsed data, generate a clean, print-ready supplier statement — your logo, running balance, one page per supplier, headers repeated on every page.
How to create a supplier statement
Export
Download a Bills / Purchases CSV or XLSX from Xero, QuickBooks or any accounting software.
Map columns once
Columns are auto-detected. The mapping is remembered by header signature, so the same export format is applied automatically forever.
Print & send
Statements come out with your logo, a running balance and clean pagination — one page per supplier, headers repeated on every page.
Why bookkeepers pick Statemint
Local & private by design
Client financial data never leaves the browser. No OAuth per client, no third-party servers, no confidentiality conflict — the full flow even works offline.
Balances that add up — exactly
Amounts are computed in integer cents with an enforced identity: closing = opening + Σ debits − Σ credits. No floating-point drift in the numbers you send out.
Any export, not just Xero
A column-mapping layer means any CSV/XLSX works — QuickBooks, SAP, or a hand-rolled spreadsheet. One file or several, merged.
One-time purchase, no per-client fees
Cloud statement tools often bill monthly and keep files on their servers (for example Statement Zen publishes plans from about $99/month with a limited free allowance — check their site for current figures). AutoEntry and similar tools meter credits that expire. Statemint is $29 early bird (regular $39) once — unlimited suppliers and clients, no credits, no minimums, no expiry, and every step is free to try before you print. Parsing stays in your browser; if a file can't be parsed you get a full refund — you only pay for results.
Frequently asked questions
What is a supplier statement?
A chronological account statement you send to a supplier, listing bills, credit notes and payments with a running balance, so both sides can confirm what is outstanding.
Does Xero produce supplier statements?
Xero has Aged Payables and per-contact history, but no one-click, ready-to-send supplier statement report. See our Xero guide for the options.
Is my financial data uploaded anywhere?
No. Statemint runs entirely in your browser; files are parsed locally and the flow works offline.
Are you affiliated with Xero or QuickBooks?
No. Statemint is an independent tool that reads the CSV / XLSX / text-based PDF files you already export. Xero and QuickBooks are trademarks of their respective owners; Statemint is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by them.
Which file formats are supported?
CSV and XLSX from any accounting software, plus text-based PDFs (scanned PDFs without a text layer are intentionally not supported — ask the supplier for an Excel version instead). Columns are auto-detected and the mapping is remembered.
How much does it cost?
Preview is free and fully functional. Watermark-free printing is a one-time purchase: $29 during early-bird launch, $39 regular — no subscription.
Can I use it for multiple clients?
Yes — the license covers one user with unlimited suppliers, clients and files, and there is no per-client charge. Because nothing is uploaded and no ledger is ever connected, there is nothing to set up or approve for each client.
What if it doesn't work with my export?
Any tabular CSV or XLSX can be mapped by hand, which is why unusual exports are still supported. If it does not do what you need, run your own files through it first — import, column mapping, the difference report and the finished statement are all free on screen. Only printing and PDF export need a license.
How long does it take?
For a familiar export format: drop the file, confirm columns, pick suppliers, print — under a minute.
